Slate failure on Victorian terraces

The older terraces across Sneinton, Mapperley, Forest Fields and West Bridgford have natural slate roofs now well into their second century. Nail-sickness, slipped slates and torchon mortar failure at ridges are widespread. Patch repairs rarely buy more than a few seasons.
